Mindmap software

At last after going thru mindmap softwares... I purchased the INSPIRATION software. Why?
1) Its cheap (the main reason, you can get student price)
2) The graphics are great
3) It provides other tools as well, and not just mindmap eg concept map, venn diagram.

Matrix method

This book is just great.....
It makes sense, why things do not make sense....
If you are a visual person (how would you know? please refer to my learning style post), matrix method would be really helpful...
If you are a global person (again, please refer to learning style post)... matrix method would be the answer...
I don't feel like summarizing about it now, because I want to apply it straight away....
But wait... somebody has written a great summary... click here

Its not too late

I am almost towards the end of my first year of phd.... how come I still cannot make sense of my literature review? I have a system that looks ok... (I got this from one of the research methods book). Somehow, something was missing. As I was browsing in Amazon.com, I found this book. I read one of the comments... and I decided to order it. Now this book is in my hands, I am half way through... and yes I think it was worth it. I found the missing bits.... thats probably why I couldn't make sense of my lit review...

Ok, I am going to continue reading this... will summarize later.

Setting up your printer

Dear Diana,

I found out how to install the printer.
Go to: http://www.its.unimelb.edu.au/support/printing/drivers
Follow the instructions.
BUT type \\pv-sph-titan instead and chose SPH_CIMH_CanoniR3300.

Hope it works.

I think this is something that I would be needing soon.

Qualitative course

Hi, I just found out that I could attend the qualitative course at SPH (found this out from one of my supervisors). I have been looking through the web pages again and again, but I couldn't find it.  Just want to share this with my colleagues... go through the SPH website or SPH handbook. You can actually attend courses, but beware of the assignments and exams. But actually if you enrolled in this course early on, it would really be helpful. Sigh... should have known earlier.

The Plagiarism Checker

Great software from another postgraduate student.

"Anyone who has a doubtful thought with his writing can use this website, it been suggested by my inquisitive friend. I found it very useful, to be more accurate just invest US 8.00 per month. Please advise me if you got any powerful checker."

Thanks for sharing this...
